The Spanish Connection - Music of the Americas
A cast of New York performers and specialists in Latin American music, tenor José Heredia, mezzo-soprano Anna Tonna, and pianist Amber Scherer, perform the folk-song tinged music of Argentinian Alberto Ginastera along with music set to the sensual love poetry of Chilean Pablo Neruda by Canadian/American composer Ray Luedeke, songs from his critically acclaimed opera-cabaret My Life with Pablo Neruda. The recital showcases solo piano music by both Ginastera and Luedeke, performed by Amber Scherer.
